What Makes a "MAN"?

What makes a man? Now that is the question often asked but rarely answered correctly. There are a lot of women, ladies, & teenage girls out there that ask this question quite often. To be brutally honest, ladies, there are just as many men & boys, or more so, as women who ask this question themselves but will never admit it!

Now I could get all "academic" & start espousing an endless amount of scientific facts about what makes a human the male gender. I think we can agree on that this scientific knowledge is well taught & known in science classes across our great nation; so I will not begin to insult your intelligence in doing so. Through my years of growing up & maturing I have come to this question more than once, & on several occasions questioned myself if I was a "Man". Here I am not questioning sexuality as in sexual preference but rather the fact if I was a boy or a "Man"; immature vs mature, undesirable vs desirable.

After asking this question & searching for answers, my search led to a vast variety of answers that all too often was based on societal norms, popular cultural beliefs, & all being completely superficial. To be a man does not mean you have to be tall, muscular, handsome, wealthy, trendy, or fashionable. These are ALL SUPERFICIAL descriptions & IS NOT what makes you a MAN. Now don't get all "twisted" on me & take this wrong: there is nothing wrong in wanting to look your best. But I know you Ladies have your preferences & different tastes in all shapes & sizes. But again this IS ALL SUPERFICIAL,

It was not until after I joined the military that I found the answer. During my time in the military I was brought face to face with God, prayed, & asked Him this question. This is His answer: Psalm 112!

In Psalm 112 we find God's answer as to what makes a Man.
A Godly man IS: thankful, happy, obedient, mighty, enduring, upright, gracious, compassionate, righteous, confident, steadfast, & honorable!
A Godly man DOES: praise God, fear God, enjoy God, lend willingly, earn an honest living, & freely give!
A Godly man in return WILL BE: blessed, successful, never forsaken, triumphant, honored, & avenged (by God & through God, & not of our own doing)!
This IS what we are to be MADE of as men. This IS what DEFINES us as men just as God, Yahweh our Creator, defines in His Word.

We as men should check ourselves according to these three definitions to see if we compare in our own lives. This is the standard that is to define us as men & not describe us. And you, as women, should hold this Word as a STANDARD for the men that you seek to be in & a part of your lives. This IS the standard that gives us the knowledge if we as men are either mature or immature, desirable or undesirable, but more important Godly or ungodly. So what makes a man? Godly character as defined by Him in Psalm 112. Men check yourselves. And you Ladies, hold us to this standard, God's standard, & this alone!
